At our daycare, our certified and experienced staff thoughtfully sorts dogs into well-suited packs, considering their temperament, age, size, and energy levels. This careful grouping ensures that each dog has a safe and enjoyable experience, playing with others that match their social behavior and energy. We closely monitor and assess each dog to determine the best group for their needs.
At Bark St, our Meet & Greet (off-leash play assessment) is a meticulous, 60-minute process, carefully overseen by our skilled staff. The session begins with a one-on-one introduction of your dog to a fellow canine, gradually expanding to include more dogs. This step-by-step approach is pivotal in accurately gauging your dog's social tendencies and ensuring a safe and smooth integration into the most suitable group. Our primary focus is on creating a harmonious environment that nurtures your dog's well-being and encourages social interaction.
At Bark St, we have the capacity to accommodate up to 60 dogs. This number is carefully chosen to ensure that our spacious 3,800 square-foot area remains comfortable and conducive for play and relaxation. Our priority is to maintain a safe, enjoyable, and uncrowded environment for every dog under our care.
At Bark St, our staff-to-dog ratio is maintained at approximately one staff member for every 10-15 dogs. This ratio ensures that each dog receives the appropriate level of attention and care, while maintaining a safe and monitored environment. This staff ratio is part of our commitment to providing high-quality care for all the dogs at our facility.
At Bark St's daycare, your dog will experience a dynamic and structured day, including group play, individual playtime, scheduled relief walks, and meal times. These activities are designed to cater to various energy levels, ensuring both physical exercise and mental engagement. Alongside play, there are designated rest periods for relaxation and recovery. The scheduling is carefully planned to provide a balanced and fulfilling experience for your dog.

Bark St adopts a comprehensive and gentle approach to help nervous dogs get used to their pack and our environment. Our team includes trained behaviorists who specialize in helping dogs adjust to new environments. We focus on gradually acclimating each dog to our facility, which can take a few sessions. Our staff, trained by professional behaviorists, ensures each dog is introduced into playgroups that suit their size and temperament, creating a safe and supportive space for them to grow more comfortable and enjoy their time at our daycare.
We understand that sometimes unexpected delays can happen. If you're unable to pick up your dog before our closing time, a late check-out fee of $15 will be applied. Our closing times are 8 PM on weekdays and 6 PM on weekends. We appreciate your understanding and cooperation in ensuring our staff can finish their duties and head home on time.
